The Sea Ranch that I most often go, Lake Street in Wilmette, is fresh fish and take out sushi and sashimi, they also have a small grocery in the same strip mall. Sea Ranch has two other locations in the western burbs. The Arlington Heights Road store is a full service Japanese grocery with a nice selection of fresh fish, sushi and sashimi. The Golf road shop is a restaurant, though I am using the term restaurant loosely. The decor is more hot dog stand/cafe than restaurant, though whatever you wish to call the ambiance they have very fresh fish. They were in the process of remodeling the last time I was there, so the decor may have changed.
