It's also the only non-smoking restaurant I saw which was a welcome relief after two weeks of choking whenever we stepped into any type of building. We did have a tough time finding the restuarant--it's in the north part of Madrid (near the business district) and the street it's on stops at one point and starts at another. I believe it was on the south section of the road. When you get there it looks quite crunchy. There's a yoga center attached to it next door and you have to walk through a healthfood store to get to the stairs in the back to the restaurant. But when you walk down those stairs it's like you're in a different world. The menu is impressive--about 20 pages long and all in Spanish so if you don't speak it you will need to bring a translator or good dictionary (none of the staff spoke English as far as we could tell--neither did we hear any English spoken at any of the other tables during our visit).
