Down Town Chas. has so many restaurants. You really can not go wrong with any of them. You said you were thinking of local fare? Then seafood is it!!!! There are so many choices.Magnolias is on East Bay St. Henry"s is on Market St. Celia's Porta Via is on Archdale near the Chas. Place Hotel. Then there is 82 Queen another terrific one. There is Slightly North of Broad also on East Bay. All of these have atmosphere that is out of this world. If you want really great food with a great view then California Dreaming is right across the Ashley River Bridge. The food is no better. It is very noisy, and it is always packed with sometimes an hour wait, it has always been worth it!!! You can also take the dinner cruise aboard the Spirit of Chas. Dinner and music as well plus seeing Chas from a whole new angle. Well that is just the beginning---- have fun!! we have an awesome city.I hope you have time to do some sight seeing.
