I moved from Providence about a year and a half ago and still miss some of the places!

Here are a few of my favorite places (all levels & types)

ANGELS - This restaurant is located on the "East Side" (not East Providence)
just across the river from Kennedy Plaza and to the north of
the First Baptist Church in America. It's diagonal from Roger
Williams National Park (Smallest National Park in the Country!)

The food is American Regional and is excellent. It's only got a
small neon sign above the door that says "Angels". Look it up
in the phonebook and call for directions. Most entrees are
	 probably in the $16-20 range.

PASTICHE - This is THE place to go for dessert!!! It's located just off
of Atwells Ave. in the Federal Hill section (Little Italy of
Providence) of the city. They are located on the first floor
of a house that overlooks Route 195 West. They produce all
their own desserts and even do a fair wholesale trade to other
restaurants in the city. Relaxing butter yellow walls with
cozy booths and tables make for a perfect setting to enjoy
a cup of coffee and any of their terrific and reasonably priced
desserts. HAVE A DESSERT FOR ME - I'M STILL HAVING WITHDRAWALS!!

LARS RETLEFSEN'S - This restaurant is actually located in Bristol, RI but is
only about 20 minutes from Providence. It is a cozy comfortable
restaurant that features an interesting mix of
          Continental/American/Scandinavian-German influenced food. It's
on Main Street. (Again - call for directions). I had the best
steamed clams ever at this restaurant!
