If you don't mind spending some money, don't miss Striped Bass (outstanding fish/seafood) and Susanno Foo's. A couple of other good ones are Brasserie Perrier (owned by the same team as Le Bec Fin) and Paradigm. The latter two are more reasonably priced and pretty hip.

Enjoy!

A place that I have been to for both dinner and lunch a number of times recently is The Plough and the Stars. It's an Irish restaurant and bar at 2nd and Chestnut (the entrance is on Chestnut on the northeast side of the street and not that easy to find because the historic status of the building prevents them from having a larger sign). It is not your typical Irish pub, but serves well prepared roasts, fish and other traditional Irish and English dishes. The wine list isn't much, but they do have a fine selection of beers. There is also a fireplace which contributes to a pleasant atmosphere as well as Irish music more of the Enya variety than the Clancy Bros. Service is also good.
