I went to Valentino's this past winter (February), and I would go back. I recall having a chicken-mushroom pasta (tagiatelli? [sp?]) that was quite delicious. The bread was very good, and there were some condiments of which I can't remember the identity, but I know I enjoyed them. The dessert course was definitely worth it. I had a dense chocolate torte that was subtle and yet strangely potent, and another member of the party had a thoroughly enjoyable chocolate mousse cake. On the down side, I must say that the latte was merely warm and didn't retain its froth (inexperienced help?). Also, the wine list was obscenely expensive, enough that we opted not to have any. Even so, I would consider going back to Valentino's. Hope this helps. Maurice Rickard

Valentino's

The food took a while to come, and the salads were ok but nothing special. However, the entrees we got were excellent. My wife had a pasta dish with seafood that was outstanding and I had the salmon which was prepared perfectly and tasted great. Desserts were good too. So, though at the start I was getting a bit grumpy, by the end I was very happy with the place and I would go again. The bill was quite reasonable too. -Avrim
I went there back in February and have been meaning to go back. The food was as I recall quite good--I had some kind of mushroom-pepper-pasta dish which was tasty (*filling*, though, and the desserts were delicious. The latte I recall as lukewarm rather than hot, and the wine list was overpriced, but in all not a bad dining experience. Hope this helps, Maurice Rickard
I 'discovered' Valentino's a few months ago and have been back a number of times. Everyone I've eaten with have been very happy with their food and many have told me they're excited to go back. I found it to be moderately priced for lunch, but a bargain for a nice dinner in a unique atmosphere.
Went to Valentino's some time ago with another couple and had a meal that one could generously call mediocre. The staff was poorly trained, too, we thought. Warren
