The Tibetan restaurant had a large selection of vegetarian items and a
varied menu that was very moderately priced. I think the most expensive
item was under $8.00. It was very clean and the service was pleasant.
It was a nice change from the standard middle eastern fare.

A wonderful new Italian restaurant on the South Side is Abruzzi's at 52
South 10th Street. 431-4511. The food was excellent. It was about a
authenically Italian as I have found in Pittsburgh and the owner is
actually using some of his mother's recipes. Excellent wine list and
huge menu selection. Excellent service and pleasant atmosphere, not too
 stuffy.

Both are worth giving a try if you like good ethnic fare.

Hmmm, I went to this place a while ago (I know, I should have posted it then!)
and found it to be quite average. I'm not Tibetan, so I'm not an expert, but
the food was OK but very plain. The food seemed healthy since it wasn't oily
but there was nothing memroable about it for me. Oh, it was pertty cheap
 though :)

If you want a good deal, go down the street to Winner's. For $5, you can
get a good Korean dinner that will fill you up. Not as healthy, but good!

I agree with Katherine -- I liked it a lot, and would have even for a
more expensive restaurant. I do admit that part of what I liked was
the friendly service, the decorations, and the music, rather than the
 food.
