The Union Grill has gone through several phases. It used to be bland, unimaginative, full of cliches and waitresses interrupting conversations with big false smiles. Honest American food, they said. Last time I was there it was better than mediocre, even if the fausse friendlyness was still present. Hear they've got someone that can cook now, from somewhere far away (they were right to be desperate.) Those who disliked this place might try it again. I did, and I changed my opinion.
