We enjoyed a fine meal last night at The Tuscan Inn, an Italian
restaurant several notches above "neighborhood Italian." As we
knew that the portions are generous, my wife and I shared an
appetizer, each had a salad, and shared an entree. We had plenty
to eat and did not feel stuffed.

The appetizer was tomato chunks over bread, delicately seasoned
with fresh basil and more that we couldn't identify. My wife's
house salad was imaginative, and mine was goat cheese on greens.
Our entree was portabello mushroom with spinach and other goodies.
We had a modest bottle of Italian Chianti.

With tip we spent $62. Although our reason for being vegetarians
is not to save money, it does turn out that we usually have no
available choices other than the lower-priced items on the menu.

It's on Wildwood Road, about a half mile west of PA-8. Go north on
PA-8 to the Yellow Belt, turn left, and you'll find it at the
bottom of the hill on the left. It's 2684 Wildwood Road,
 412-486-7696.
