My favorite Philadelphia steak house - the Palm. Not only was I able to scam them into hanging my characature upon one of their walls, but the serve a distinguished steak and great potatoes and do so with a classic New York City gruff but friendly attitude. My favorite non-steakhouse steak - the Lancaster area beef Jack McDavid scortches on a cast iron skillet at Jack's Firehouse. However, whenever I'm in a fancy-free mode, I'll opt for an adventure to New York and to the best steak house in the country - Peter Luger's. All that said, I wouldn't turn down a steak from Kansas City Prime (though I won't pay the price of Kobi (sp) beef - give me some US of A black angus any day), Morton's or Ruth Chris. Then again, it's getting to be the time of year where I'm just as happy firing up the barbie and Pittsburghing a couple of 2" thick rib eyes. Enjoy, Holly Moore.

Kobe, right? Beyond that, I pretty much agree...although, I find myself eating more and more vegetables/grains/fish and less and less actual steak these days. Oh, and a plug for a place in the 'burbs...the Blue Bell Inn has never failed to make me a perfectly enjoyable filet mignon.... -- hillary [email removed] If you need help, contact "So that's 2 T-1s and a newsfeed....would you like clues with that?"
