I'm not an officianado so I cannot really rate it against any particular scale - all I can say is it tasted good to me. --fish

Taj Mahal in North Hills?

I had pappadam (free) onion nan, lamb saag, kulfee, and mango juice. It was quite good, generous portions, and cost $25 including tip. I'll be going back soon.... Roger

I don't like tea, and had two cups... The food was excellent, and the service impeccable. I also had the opportunity to talk to the owners, who made us feel right at home. They are just starting out and don't have a lot left over for newspaper advertising, so don't expect to see a lot of print adds. They do plan to have a coupon in the Entertainment Book this fall. There was no wait either time I have been there, so reservations are probably not needed. Parking is not a problem. They also have a lunch buffet, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. They have a full menu, comparable to the other Indian restaurants in the area. I would highly reccommend it to anyone who likes Indian cuisine. Give them a try!

It is between the southern entrance to Northway Mall and Browns Lane, in a location which used to be a bagle store, and before that Bellybuster's Hoagies. I did not ask if they are the ones who owned the Taj Mahal on Atwood St. I will next time I am there.... Roger
