Just to let you folks know- Sam Bok is an oriental grocery that has been on
Penn Avenue for a long while (down somewhere around 18th, I think) but a
couple months ago they started an in-store sushi bar (take-out only). My
wife and I have eaten there several times and enjoyed it very much; the
prices are good and the quality high, and the chef, Yasu san, is creative,
personable, and handles special requests well. I highly recommend trying
the place. It's a real treat to pick up dinner there on the way home (and
you can do your oriental grocery shopping at the same time!).

Apparently you can also get him to come to your private event and serve up
sushi to your guests, which sounds delightful...

One caveat: I've only eaten the vegetarian sushi, so I can't say anything
about the quality of the fish.

As I (think) I posted earlier, it is excellent. I have taken to going
there every Saturday and getting lunch. Good prices, good stuff. I
only wish I could sit there and enjoy it. OTOH, I can get my sushi and
sit by the river which is not bad.

And when you pray, be not like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and
pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they be seen by men.
Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray,
shut yourself up in your room and pray to your Father who is in secret; and
your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
