Just wanted to post a short review of Sree's in Squirrel Hill. This india
restaurant is owned by the same people who run those at CMU abd downtown.
The Squirrel Hill branch is take out only for now, but looks like it could
incorporate a few tables and chairs. Now, onto the food.

The food is very good and very, very cheap. They carry a daily variety of
vegetable and meat dishes, soup as well as the best samosas I have ever
anywhere. The daily specials are a steal here. For $3.99 you can get either
the vegetarian or meat platter. The platter come with a choice of three
dishes, 2 types of rice (a simple basmati and a curried rice), and a piece of
pita bread. For an extra buck you get a samosa. I had the vegetable
special, which on that day consisted of green curried okra, broccoli and
potatoes aloo pratha, and curried chickpeas. All were excellent, the okra
expecially delicious, rich and spicy. The samosa was excellent, a pocket of
 spicy zen.

So if good taste at tasteful prices is what you desire, pay Sree's a visit.
 Ariel.
