I had one of these sandwiches yesterday. IMHO, they are really hyped up.
Also, I think that the description is somewhat misleading. The "steak"
is actually a rectangular hamburger patty. Maybe its ground steak, I
don't know. My definition of steak in a sandwich is strips of meat, not
a ground-up patty shaped into a rectangle. Also, the patty is bland. I
don't believe there is any flavorings in it. I like the idea of having
my fries and slaw in the sandwich. Maybe next time I'll try some other
meat. Also, its quite a bit of food for less than four bucks - and
enough cholestrol and all that good stuff for the entire week!

Personally, I prefer the steak sandwiches of the Steak Escape. Its a
chain, but, hey, they are good!

Try the fish sandwich! That's what I always get. I never get
around to trying any of the other sandwiches because the fish
sandwich is so good I always end up ordering it.

After 19 years of eating at Primanti's, I definitely agree that the
cheesesteak is underwhelming. Try a tastier meat, though, like the
capicolla, hot or sweet sausage or cajun chicken breast...now that's a
sandwich! By the way, Pickles on East Ohio Street on the North Side
sells very similar sandwiches which they call "New York Deli
sandwiches", fries, slaw and all....Naples Station in Monroeville also
sells sandwiches with fries and slaw, but I can't recommend them.
