Personally disagree about Jake's - when we lived there (left 2 yrs. ago) our 2 experiences with Jake's were poor: below-average service (including exceedingly rude waiters), pretentious, and mediocre food. We really liked Cafe Allegro, located ot 51 12 St. [481-7788] on the Southside. Upscale and classy in its understated bistro atmosphere, great food and excellent service. If we went back for one meal, it would be to there. scg
