We also liked Alouette but read recently that it either has closed or is closing soon. We now feel guilty that we didn't go more often but there are now so many good restaurants in Philly it makes it difficult to make frequent visits to any one.

Our current favorites are Michels, The Striped Bass, Circa, Susanna Foo and The Fountain, these are all pretty pricey, on a more reasonable level are the Sansom Street Oyster House and Dock Street Brew Pub.
