Peppercorn's is a very good restaurant. It is good to see it recommended, but sad to see the secret is out. The chef/owner runs it with the help of his family. This is another opinion, and not a nasty response to the original poster, but I would not call the wait between courses a "fault". Peppercorns is a small, intimate, unpretentious restaurant that cooks to order. You shouldn't be in a hurry when you go there. Savor, enjoy your company, your wine, the food, even the ambiance. You pretty much have to have reservations, the room hold at most 35 diners, they seat until about 9:00, and even with this, they do not rush you through a meal. I have never had bad sercvice, but then I've never been waited on by the "wifty blond" ( i think I know who he means). The owner's daughter is a server, she is blondish, sort of, but she is definitely not "wifty" -- and she's the best server there: personable, friendly, dry sense of humor, but also makes you feel very comfortable being there. If this is your style, give it a try. P.S. If you want to try it at a less expensive rate, go for lunch. They are open for lunch Tuesdays-Fridays, noon till about 2:00. Same menu, lunch portions, prices lower, except for desserts. BTW, the menu changes daily Chris M. wrote: > > > The only drawback was the service, which was flaky.
