Although seafood is their specialty, Tambellini's on 51 has a huge piece of scrumptious rib at about the same price. And the prime rib at the Prime House in Greentree - Now theres an excellent piece of prime rib!~ But I digress, the prime rib at Dingbats is good - so compared to the rest of their menu, it may be excellent. >-- >-------------------------------------------------------------------------- >William E. You know, the last THREE times I've been in Tambelleni's on 51, I've
been extremely disappointed by their food, particularly their seafood. And
after paying close to $100 for me and my dates, including appetizers, tip
and drinks, I'm not inclined to go back.
The quality was above average, but the quantities were extremely small when
compared to what you got even 5 years ago.
The last time I was there (about a year ago) I got the Surf 'n' Turf.
The Fillet was BAD, and the lobster tail was about the size of my thumb.
I remember being their in '89 and getting the same thing, and
NOT BEING ABLE TO FINISH THE PORTION!
I've never been to the Prime House in Greentree. Where is it? I'm a
big fan of great prime rib, and I'm moving back to that area soon, so
I'll try it out.
Recommendation: Tambellinis on Wood St. Stick to the Italian Specialties,
though, the cooks are all from the Old Country. :-)
