Outside of Lancaster, along Route 222 are many local retaurants that serve the usual family fare. They're pretty good for fried chicken, ham, German potato salad and Sho-Fly-Pie. Good And Plenty is a famous one. Black Angus, morth of Lancaster has German fare. Bube's Brewery is an upscale restaurant. The oldest brewery in continuous operation in the US. There are also some old country inns with lots fo atmosphere and good food. You'll have loats of great choices. Have fun.
