We tried a place on the main street in downtown Mt Lebanon Friday night
 called La Pizzaiola.

The food was great. We had a large pizza with fresh mozzarella, basil,
grilled vegetables and garlic that was the best pizza we've had in a
 long time.

We also split a casa salad with the house vinaigrette that was very
 good.

 I heartily recommend la Pizzaiola.

Apparently they just opened; they only took American Express so we had
 to pay cash.

The tab for the above was $21. Plus we had leftovers for dinner the next
day. Fantastic - we definitely plan to return.

We had one of the pizzas a few weeks ago. My reaction was that it was
good, but that Caruso's (across the street) was both better and
cheaper. On the other hand, La Pizzailo has a wider pizza menu,
featuring many of the types of gourmet pizza Caruso's doesn't have
(wuch as pizza with riccota cheese, which I rather like).
