It's an old-money-style place, IMO, with emphasis on setting and service, but for the price the food could be far better. The Baron's Inne is literally right down the road, and it has a little less of the old-money stuffiness (it's still there, just not as emphasized) but with a more interesting menu, great Caesar's salads prepared at your table, and what are maybe the best crab cakes in the area.

I definitely second the opinon on the crab cakes. I've had lunch there around a half dozen times but made the mistake of ordering the crab cakes on the first visit so now I never get to try anything else on the menu. I've also eaten at the Kennedy Supplee and its pretty good but not spectacular. --------------------------------- The Melo Family Ed, Carolyn, Alyson and Lauren Pickering Valley Service Unit (Girl Scouts) http://www.voicenet.com/~edmelo/pvsu.html ---------------------------------
I have been there a few times and it is great for a somewhat Victorian environment. the food is excelent. service has been good and friendly. the owners i believe are the same as Dueling-Kurtz in Exton. or maybe the Inn at Historic Yellow Springs? the posts replying to this mention Barrons Inn....different class of restarant. it's the businessman's lunch type place.....but good food. Crab cakes are one of the best around.
