: Has anyone tried the new Italian restaurant in Oakland? It is located : right before you cross the bridge to get to CMU, in the spot that was Cafe : Sofia. I ate there last night. I had the spinach/egg pasta with peas and prosciutto. it was OK; I could have done as well myself, though of course much of the point of going out to eat is avoiding that work, the dirty dishes, having cream go sour in the fridge, etc. the dish could have used a little black pepper in the sauce, perhaps even a pinch or two of some herb. the salad that came with it was small, but pretty good, even including some fresh purple sage. I'll definitely go back, and probably try a somewhat more challenging dish. the place is certainly a lot better than pasta at hemingways...
