We had a lovely dinner tonight at the new Caffe Giovanni on
Washington Rd. in Mt. Lebanon. The food was excellent and
 the service was very attentive.

We started off with the sausage and polenta appetizer.
It had a fairly zippy marinara and some buffalo mozzarella.
The salads were fine, and loaded with chick peas and olives.

I had a dish of fried eggplant with ricotta. Jim had a
seafood dish with some of the largest jumbo shrimp I've
ever seen. Everything was very good.

The restaurant was somewhat expensive for Pitsburgh.
Dinner, with tax, tip and one glass of wine each was $67.
Definitely worth a trip if you like better Italian food.
