You know, you go to what is supposed to be a good restaurant. Upscale, along with upscale prices, but this is ok because you are anticipating a good time and good food. WRONG This is the second time I have been burnt at this place and it will be the last. My wife ordered veal picatta and got something that approached turkey but looked a great deal like rabbit. The meal had very little lemon taste and no capers to be found. They were not even interested in hearing our complaint. The waitress said she talked to the chef and he said they did not even have turkey on the menu. WOW what an intelligent response. About 3 months ago we were at Hoffstots and ordered their special which was Veal Oscar. The veal was tough (if in fact it was veal) and the sauce was lumpy and not smooth as it should have been. Twice burned is about all I can stand. I guess the people in Oakmont have no taste buds cause the place always seems crowed when I have been there. So Long Hoffstots. And remember "You have been forewarned. Shamrock

It's quieter than Hofstots (no TV), and for other reasons I no longer remember, is more to our liking. We go there every month or two and have been uniformly satisfied. To be fair, I must acknowledge that we are vegetarians and so have never tried the meats at either place. Chelsea Grill has a limited but adequate vegie selection. Ask about their beans and greens. It's hardly ever on the menu but they can usually supply it. Another good restaurant in Oakmont is The Mighty Oak Barrel, on Third St on the other side of Hulton Road just south of the bridge. It's much more upscale than Chelsea Grill, IMHO. We've had excellent meals there. Art Evans
