Taconelli's has good pizza, but it is no where near as tasty as Rizzo's pizza. There are two problems with Taconelli's pizza: 1) they cannot control their inventory properly which has the result of people needing to order their pizza several hours in advance and 2) the crust is so thin that it has the consistency of matzoh and the bland flavor of matzoh to go with it. I have dined at Taconnelli's a few times and never has it been anywhere near as busy as Rizzo's is, yet Rizzo's can actually make and serve a pizza without the necessity of ordering it many hours in advance. The fact that Taconelli's pizza wins "Best of" awards in Philadelphia Magazine means little to me. In my opinion, most of those "Best of" awards seem to be distributed based on the amount of advertising that the award winners do in Philly magazine as apposed to the quality of their food.
