Slightly out of Lancaster (northwest?) in Mount Joy there is a place Groff's Farm Restaurant. I highly recommend it. It may be the best food I've had in all my years of visiting Pennsylvania including the Poconos. It is American Cuisine with a Penna. Dutch flair. They also have a fixed price family-style menu which is really too much food for anyone to eat, but is worth it especially if you have someplace to bring a kitty bag to. Reservations are required. I think there are two seatings a night. Jackets may be required or advisable - ask when you call for reservations. I would figure on $20-$30 per person not counting drinks.

Our family loves Patty & Johns, on a golf course near Hanover.

Really enjoyable.
