The General Warren Inn is near Valley Forge and Wayne Pa. I'm sure information will have the telephone. Oh i think they are in Malvern (the towns are all so close together on the Main Line).
The food was wonderful. Need reservations in advance. You don't have to stay there to eat there. :-)

Especially their Carne Asada. Unfortunately, I had the WORST duck of my life at Circa (about whom I used to rave). Even the service had gone downhill. Striped Bass was good though, as was Michel's (too bad they don't get more business!). Never tried Pamplona, what's it like ??? Jan

Nobody beats Jack for the freshness, pureness and quality of ingredients - and I really like Jack's way with a skillet. Let's not forget the Saloon. Good things are also happening at Treetops in the Rittenhouse Hotel now that 201 has been shut down to make way for Georges Perrier. At lunch, at least, ask for the Lec (phoenetic, may not be acurate spelling) special. Lec is Thai, and his influence makes the lunch specials extraordinarily special. Then there are my favorite genre of great restaurants - those that rate four stars while commanding only one dollar sign: the Down Home Diner at Reading Terminal Market, La Playa de Salinas in the Barrio (Puerto Rican), La Tierra Columbiana (half Cuban, half Columbian) also in the Barrio, and Carmen's Country Kitchen (for personality as well as grub) at 11th and Wharton. Pamplona, though not great, is well worth a lunch or light dinner.
I've always enjoyed London Grill, as well as Rembrandt's. As an added bonus, there's plenty of free parking (if you don't mind parking in an unattended field, that is!) In South Philly, try Felicia's. Favorite Chinese - Golden Pond. Liz > > > > > > > >

It's Mediterranean tapas - no real apps or entrees, just mid-size portions. Interesting food, very cosmopolitan atmosphere. It's loud and you can wait forever for a table, even when there are empty ones. Service is good, except for the hostess. > my always contraversial pick - Jack's > Firehouse. I find his combinations of ingredients uninspired. Michael Kranzdorf [email removed] Kranzco Realty Trust 610.941.9292
Magnolia's Cafe and Cafe Nola are two excellent restaurants for cajun food (and the ambiance is superb and the price affordable)! Also, Brasilia on 2nd and Chestnut, though it looks like a hole in the ground from the outside, will serve excellent south american cuisine inside! Entrees are 15-20 here. A really great restaurant in the Chestnut Hill Section of Philadelphia is Under The Blue Moon. The softshell's, in season, are really great. Everything I've tried is fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.
