The parking is awful, but try Orient Garden on Semple in South Oakland.
It's between Bates and Ward - White Sign with blue lettering. They're
open until 1am, and the food is very, very good if you like chinese. If
this is an indicator, there have been times when I've gone in and the
place has been quite full, and I've been the only non-asian there. If
you're adventurous, try ordering from the all-chinese menu - the dishes
 are different.

Oriental Kitchen is the name, and the food is damned good.
