Depends on what you're looking for (how cheap? what kind?). Here are some low level choices (as in < $10 a meal, easy)

1) Rangoon - 9th St., Chinatown. Cheap Burmese food (yum, too)
2) Taco House - 13th and Pine. cheapo Tex-Mex
3) Momi's - 5th between South and Lombard. Looks and acts like a 50's diner, but has lots of healthy alternatives and TONS of food.
4) Le Bus - in University City, 34th and Sansom. Good cafeteria style, great breads and soups
5) Makam's Kitchen - 24th and Lombard. Unusual sandwich combos.
6) Indian restaurants in University City - Sitar on 38th and Chestnut, Tandoor and Bombay Palace on 40th and Chestnut (the others in that area are really mediocre) Have buffets, too.

I've also heard good things about Jamaican Jerk Hut, but I've never been there (somewhere on South in the teens?)
