Had a reservation for Gnocchi on Saturday night for 6 people at 9pm. Showed up in the pouring rain at 9:05, and our table had been given away. Also, the owner scolded us.
I have never worked in a place that would not hold a reservation at least 10 minutes. I know we shouldn't have been late at all, but we were stuck waiting for one of the couples in our group.
We ended up having a great dinner at Azafran, whose owner was very accomodating. Since there was not enough waiting room in Azafran, she referred us to the bar next door and then came and got us when a table became free. ~~Kim ____________________________________________________

Sounds like he scolded you because he maybe gave the table away by mistake, and then turned it into your fault. I've always had restuarants hold the table at least 10 minutes.. >We ended up having a great dinner at Azafran, whose owner was very >accomodating. The food is always good, the service is always excellent. The art on the wall is interesting, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I don't think they advertise well, the way I found it is by walking by one day. Has anyone eaten at Gnocchi? I love gnocchi (the pasta/potato dish). Is it good food?
