I've been waiting patiently, ok....not so patiently, for this place to
open. I noticed today they are now open and I stopped by for lunch.

I was rather impressed with the food and service. I had a dish with
crepes filled with spinach & portabella in a mushroom cream sauce -
Fazzoletti. I also had dessert, Giovanni's delight.

The entree was wonderful, rich without being too heavy. The desert was
also incredible - a nut crust, whipped cheese layer, banana pudding
layer, bananas, strawberries and whipped cream topped with more nuts. It
 was definitely a delight.

They are not a cheap lunch place, I spent $13 including an iced tea to
drink. But they are worth the occasional special trip.

They are still a bit shaky with figuring out their ordering computer and
all, but my entree came quicker than I expected and my tea was refilled
 w/o my needing to ask.

Their dinner menu is larger than their lunch one, and it was large
enough to suit almost anyone. They make their own ravioli, tortelloni
and some other pastas are done on site.

All in all, a very nice place to go.

They are located in the old Italian Oven in Edgewood Towne Center. Hours
are Lunch - 11-4:30, dinner 4:30-10 (11 on weekends), and on Sundays
they are only open for dinner.

The owners evidently have another restaurant in Mt. Lebanon - Cafe
 Giovanni.

I agree to with Christine. I would rather know where I can be served at
all within a reasonable period than be seated and wait forever. Honesty
is the best policy in this case. I would definitly go back. Recommended
that you go back. The food is fabulous!!! I also had teh Fazzoletti
which was great! My friend had the torteloni, also fab. The waiter was
very good telling us what was good and not and making recommendations.
He got a good tip from us. He even told us to cut open the homemade
ravioli so as not to burn our mouths. Give it a try again MYKL! Nice
place to stop on the way home from work.

And they encourage take-out - good for a busy day with no lust to cook
 in the evening.

I went to a pizza restaurant in Mt. Lebo the other night and read the
menu in the window for this restaurant (Cafe Giovanni) that was right
beside it. If it is the right one, it sits on the corner and has lots
of windows on the outside of the building. It is a block up from the
Denis Theatre in Mt. Lebo. Do I have the right place?

Anyway, I love veal and I looked at their veal selection. I can't wait
to go there because they sound so delicious. What do you recommend
there? Is everything al carte? Can you make reservation?
