I like Cafette's (in Chestnut Hill) Southern Fried Chicken. They serve it hot as their dinner special on Friday nights. Then they serve it (cold, I believe) on Saturday afternoons with a nice caesar salad. Christina Michael S. wrote: > Where does one get really good fried chicken around here? [Their smothered porkchop and smothered chicken were to die for too...] My best advice for you is to look at the out of the way places that are popular for the neighborhoods and ask the locals. My brother-in-law was the only one who could find the way there [which is why I can't give directions to you] and if we wanted Fried Chicken we would drive in from Norristown. Since I moved I found another little local place called Red's Diner near PSU that is traffic worn and at supper time you have a line into the parking lot waiting for a table. [Actually it has lines about 4 times a day] and this is a place you would swear you would never eat until you eat there.. Great food and a great price. Ask around. Phil
