My husband eats there, and thinks it's great. Especially the meat loaf!

I used to go at least once a week before Down Home moved to its new location in the market.

Although the new spot looks really good, the Diner is just is not the same.

The kitchen is much slower and the staff is not as pleasant (even when Jack is not there). The food reamins tasty and well prepared but the cleaniness leaves something to be desired. When you go be sure not to sit in the back booths next to the kitchen on the Filbert Street side. You can be stuck there for days and every the door to the kitchen opens, it bangs the table.
