Johnstown for a month? I survived 25 years there so I think you'll be alright in smalltown, usa.

First take a look at this link:

If your staying in the Industrial Park area you'll be about 7 miles from downtown Johnstown.

Denny's, Red Lobster, Applebee's, Ryans(Buffet), Ponderosa, Hoss's(local Ponderosa-like steakhouse), and Lonestar.

You will also have you fill of the usual McDonalds, BK, Long Johns, and Taco Bell.

A mile or two down the road there is a three mile section of Scalp Avenue that is full of restaurants. Here you have an Eat N' Park (local Denny's), Lombardo's (Italian), and Anthony's (Italian-American). A good lunchtime stop with Diner-Like food is "The Corner Coffee Shop" in the Bel-Air Plaza. Valley Dairy is another good inexpensive breakfast-lunch stop. Also, The Bistro has good "bar food"

You had mentioned that you were interested in Sushi. I had told you to go to the "Schezuan" in downtown Johnstown but since you'll be up in Richland you can go to the "Schezuan-East" which is in the same plaza as Valley Dairy.

If you want to drive a few miles east there is a good Italian restaurant called Rizzo's. It is in Windber, PA, maybe 5 miles from where you'll be staying.

If you like wings go to Bobby Dean's, The Alabi, or the Orchard Tavern http://www.TheOrchardTavern.com

If you like Pizza try Rosalia's or mimo's Pizza in Windber.

Don't forget to stop at Coney Island and get a hot dog.

Also, take a ride on The Inclined Plane and visit the Flood-related attractions.

OK, now I'll stop pretending to be Rick Sebak......
