We ate there during the winter; my wife wrote it up and a short note will
 appear in VeggieBytes <http://www.pitt.edu/~ethan/veggie.html> soon
(probably this weekend). It's fairly expensive- I recall our dinner for
two being over $40 without alocoholic beverages.

They have an extensive wine cellar, which is a specialty of theirs; they
offer several options for full meals, each course accompanied by
appropriate wines, and also a special deal where you get to taste three
different (but related, I think) wines for a special price.

The food is Mediterranian, with flair. It's creative, and nicely
presented, but in our limited experience, inconsistent; hors d'oeuvres
were excellent, but one main dish suffered from some undercooked
vegetables. The atmosphere and service were first rate, and we'd
certainly go back. For more info, check VeggieBytes in a few days.

 Hope this helps-

Sorry, I don't have time to go into great depth, but here is a brief
 review:

My wife and I were there on Saturday night. It was an excellent
experience. Food was delicious and presented beautifully; wine was
good; service was flawless. We had a portobello and roasted pepper
salad that was excellent; Barb's pork chop was juicy and delicious; I
loved my roasted-garlic gnocci, but this is for garlic-lovers only.
 Deserts were yummy too.

In November, I posted a complaint here about apathetic treatment when
we arrived a little late for a reservation on a busy night. The
manager responded to my post by calling to apologize and sending us
a gift certificate for a bottle of wine. This was our first time back
since then, and we feel they have redeemed themselves. Based on our
experience Saturday, Casbah now ranks among our favorite restaurants
 in this price range.
