Deferring to my wife on this one, Monterey Bay on Mount Washington is hard to beat. Pricey, but if you make reservations, request a window seat then arrive a bit early the view of the city is remarkable. The wine list is pretty good except that it focuses on domestics that keep with the west coast Monterey California theme. They are a seafood restaurant first, but if you're not in the mood they have stuffed filet mignon in burgundy and mushroom sauce that is out of this world. http://montereybaymw.citysearch.com/ Paul Galvanek - Ver. 4.0

Best Romantic Restaurant(s) in whole Pittsburgh area/region
In the Shadyside area, try Bellini or Baum Vivant. On Mount Washington, Isabella is amazing. In Bellevue, try Vivo which is BYO. Richard H. wrote: > Great questions herein. Another possibility is the Hartwood Restaurant at the Bookworks on Harts Run Road. It has a non-intimidating elegance and excellent food. Browsing through the bookstore before or after dinner might be a good way to learn of your mutual interests (you can even eat in the bookstore if you want to). Bill Ghrist Disclosure: The owners are friends. Someone wrote: > Ladies and Gentlemen, > > I'm writing for your 2 cents and input.
