If you like Jake's, you'll probably like Jake's Grill, in the Governor Hotel at 10th and Alder, or McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant at 235 S.W. 1st. If you want bistro-style, there's Brasserie Montmarte on S.W. Park. Maybe the Vat and Tonsure, also on S.W. Park, might suit your fancy. Go down to the RiverPlace and have fresh Full Sail beers and seafood at the Harborside Restaurant and Pilsner Room, also a McCormick and Schmick operation. Otherwise, head up to N.W. 21st, where there are so many choices: Wildwood, Tribeca, Zefiro's, Delfina's, and Basta's.

Was very impressed with everything - soup, salad, two entrees (we had fish which was cooked perfectly), desert and bread. Also really like 3 Doors Down - Italian, really good food and a fun environment. My other favorite is Zefiros on 21st. Enjoy, Portland is a great food town. Mary in Seattle
NNTP-Posting-User: brcs Cafe Mirage under the Morrison Bridge, casual bistro Genoa, creative Northern Italian prix fixe menu, very good

Don't forget: L'auberge for french Pazzo's on Washington Street if you want trendy/italian Hubers for the BEST Spanish coffee's-don't have more than two or you'll forget your name Denicola's for outrageous Pizza Heathman Hotel-either the dining room or the brewpub, both excellent
I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at 'Higgin's' last time I was in Portland. - Christina Colvin
If you like Thai food ... try "Lemon Grass". Best in the US (IMHO)
