I'm not exactly sure what you looking for, but here goes:

The Maisonette World-renowned 5 star restaurant

Rockwood Pottery Set in an old pottery kiln; good burgers

The Celestial Upscale, great view of the Riverfront

The Revolving Restaurant Best view of Cincinnati from across in the Quality Inn (Covington) the river; good food

Montgomery Inn Famous ribs

Burbanks Real Barbeque and Blues

numerous other restaurants and nightspots on riverboats and landings on the Kentucky side of the river.

For great rotisseried chicken and Middle Eastern food, try Floyd's of Cincinnati on Calhoun Street in the U.C. area. Also the Song Long on Section Road has excellent southeast asian food.

My suggestions mostly run along casual lines:

Skyline Chili (try it at least once, if not eight or nine times) Jeckyll's (in Hyde Park) Zino's Firehouse Cafe (in Clifton or Hyde Park) Graeter's (for ice cream) Red River Cattle Co. (if it still exists...way out east of town) Vernon Manor, for Sunday brunch

other people have suggested places that I second:
Montgomery Inn
The Precinct

In addition to the Maisonette, a 5-star French restaurant, there used to be several 4-star restaurants in town. While I don't remember the names of any of them, I tried a few, and they were all excellent.
