Here are the best that I've found:

Chinese: Shangri-La on Cleveland Ave. south of 161

Italian: Moretti's on Grandview Ave.

Indian: hesitate to recommend any, but Tandoori Chicken on Bethel Rd.
        is better than the others

Thai: Bangkok Grocery and Restaurant (warning: atmosphere turned off one
of my friends- you have to walk through the grocery store to get
to the restaurant) on Refugee Rd. west of Eastland Mall

Steak: Clarmont on High St. south of downtown. There are 2 others that
I've heard are great, but never been to: i) Christopher's on High
St. south of Broad and ii) a place near Henderson and Kenny whose
       name I can't remember.

Beer: Micro- Barley's downtown on High St.- also make a mean barley soup
Imports- Bernie's on High St. near OSU- go for the tour of the world

Pizza: Adriotico's on 11th and Neil

Most Over-rated: Kahiki- the atmosphere is good, though. Order carryout
from the Thai restaurant and bring it here.

: I will be Columbus, Ohio for a week in May. I've heard there is a good : restaurant : named the 55 Restaurant at the Crossroads, or something like that. Can : anyone give me any feedback. Thanks. 55 is very good, they have a really nice Sunday Buffet. There is also a 55 downtown, which is known for its seafood. Also, if your looking for a nice restaurant, you may want to try The Refrectory, on Bethel Road which requires reservations. If you are looking for something more casual, try Dick Clark's American Bandstand (it is in the Hard Rock Cafe theme), or if you are interested in a nice microbrewery, try Hoster's, which is downtown. Their wheat beer is fab.

I'll agree and add some more info. I'm guessing that you are staying in the Crosswoods (Campusview and Rt. 23/High Street area). I live in the area, and it is fabulous for eatting out. You can walk from the many hotels to the many very good restaurants with no problem. This is a very nice area of the city although the traffic is awful. For Mexican and a drinks there is Cantina Del Rio, and J. Alexander's is the spot for steaks. If you're in the mood for a great burger and a beer in a very casual setting, you can go to Fuddruckers, and then there's always Bob Evans for Breakfast. The office building with the green awnings on the corner has a great Japanese restaurent tucked in the back called the Pacific Club (white tablecloth/dressy). If you get bored with all of that, drive south on Rt. 23 into Olde Worthington. Within one block there is what we think is the world's best ice cream shop, Graeter's. Walk north to the coffee shop Scottie McBean, or cross the street for a drink or dinner at the Olde Worthington Inn, or French pastry and a glass of wine at La Chatelaine. It's a very interesting area of old restored shops and homes. I walk/jog there often as do many others. Can you tell I love the area!? Enjoy! Lisa from Worthington
