If you're not on a budget, try the Maisonette. Tres bon et TRES expensive. It's a 5 star restaurant. There are several nice places on the Newport/Covington (KY) side of the river (incl. places to go after dinner). They are all on barges and range from Max & Erma/Friday type of places to nicer things (one was called the Waterfront and another nice was called Newport beach (but it might have gone under)). Another nice place is , rats, I can't remember the name, but it's on Vine just before Garfield Place and near the library. The food was very good and served nouvelle. You might also try second street for other night life. Montgomery Inn is another excellent place - great bbq ribs. There's one downtown, but the original (and better place) is out in Montgomery (about 12 miles NE of the downtown). Great ribs and saratoga chips For a tryuly Cincinnati experience, try skyline chili. There are hundreds of these restaurants called chili parlors all over town and they are open all day and through most of the night. Skyline is the best one and they are all over. -- Michael Weintraub [email removed] GTE Laboratories 40 Sylvan Road phone: (617) 466 - 2210 Waltham, MA 02254 fax: (617) 290 - 0628
