While traveling in eastern Ohio recently, I came upon a great Middle Eastern restaurant in Strassburg Ohio called "The Oasis". The food was about the best Middle Eastern food I have had. This comming from a New Yorker means something since here in NYC we have hundreds of Middle Eastern Restaurants, but the place in Ohio seems to top them. What made this find particularly interesting was that the "Oasis" is in the middle of Amish country...an area where few people would expect to find an Arabic restaurant. For the record, Strassburg Ohio is absolutly beautiful and the people are very friendly. Go there on a Friday or Saturday and then drive in the immediate country side, but watch out for the slow moving horse drawn carriges!
