We decided to try Tony Z's tonight because of the glowing reviews here on triangle.dining. The reviews were no exaggeration! I had the fettucine muli, which included sauteed zucchini and yellow squash. It was wonderful, and the pasta was, for once, properly cooked. We just returned from a trip to Tuscany, and Tony Z's knows how long to cook pasta al dente *correctly*. My fiancee had the lobster and shrimp special ($18.95). This was served on a 3 foot long platter. The 1.5-pound lobster was cut in half and was accompanied by another set of claws plus 6 jumbo shrimp, all served in a freshly prepared tomato/basil/garlic sauce. (Take the advice of the waiter and wear the bib!) This entree would easily go for $60 in Chicago. This is not to forget the wonderful garlic pesto bread, an interesting cabernet-based house dressing on the (iceberg lettuce) salad. Our waitress was sweet and earnest, but inexperienced in cuisine of this level. This place is well worth checking out, and I really hope that Tony Z's succeeds. It reminded me of the movie "Big Night."
