In my opinion, one of the best steakhouses in American, The Angus Barn, is located almost at the end of the runway. Buzz

It's very close to the airport and good Northern Italian. Also, The Angus Barn is nearby on Hwy 70. It's expensive, but fun atmosphere (big barn), lots of food, large salads, olives, etc. Neil C. wrote: > Does anyone know any good restaurants near the Raleigh/Durham airport? > I'll be attending a meeting soon at a hotel near the airport. > > Thanks. > > Neil Cohen > [email removed]

Excellent Northern Italian for this part of the country. I also was quite surprised to find this quality in such a setting.
Not sure how close to the airport you need but Casa Carbone has good italian food - at least in my experience. Head east on hwy 70 for about 5 miles. It's also in a strip mall - that seems to be the norm here...Oak Park Shopping Ctr I believe.
