Pie Works really needs to invest in some decent service people, I agree. A few weeks ago, we peeked through the window of the one in Chapel Hill, saw that it was half-empty, and decided to give it a try (rather than wait the half-hour wait at Owens diner next door). We walked in and were told that there would be a 15 minute wait to be seated. We could plainly see that the place was half empty. "Really?," I said, thinking that the host was kidding. Nope. Perhaps there wasn't enough staff to cover more tables (which itself is bad management), but some explanation about the wait would have prevented us from turning around and leaving, choosing instead the longer (but legitimate) wait next door at Owens'. Unbelievable. Pie Works is off my list of places to try. jim Lisa E. wrote in message ... >It is not often I can talk my husband into going out to eat with our kids >(ages 2 & 4 1/2) as you can see why by their ages....But as it was New Years >Day, I got my way....We were hungry for pizza but tired of regular pizza so >I recommended Pie Works. Pie Works in Cary
My husband and I have had the same experience with both the Pie Works in Cary and North Raleigh. Not busy, but at least a 15 minute wait before we can be seated...then poor service. We actually wrote down the corporate address the last time we went (literally the LAST time!), but I haven't been proactive enough to write them to voice my concerns. We, too, have crossed them off our list. Cheryl Jim L. wrote: > > Pie Works really needs to invest in some decent service people, I agree. In fact, by coincidence, twice we've been waited on by the same server... a very charming Louisianan who is a very able and attentive server. Maybe his colleagues don't all live up to his example. Still, we've enjoyed Pieworks and have nothing negative to say about them. Katie Our e-mail address has been modified to derail those dreaded spammers. To reply by e-mail, take out all of the x's.

The 3 times I have eaten there (once in Cary, once in North Raleigh) I have been completely unimpressed. While they do have some unique pizzas, each time I have been there, the service has been lousy, and for the price, I'm just not been impressed with the flavor of the pizzas. cheers icarus

Unique does not necessarily equal good. Granted, I can't get rattlesnake at any standard pizza place, but overdone rattlesnake is still bad... I'd rather have Lilly's or Moonlight. Eric
