A couple of days ago I read a fairly good review of this restaurant. So I want to give an opposing view. About 5 of my co-workers and I went there last Monday night around 7PM. I ordered a scotch and soda. The first one I received tasted like a very watered down scotch and water. I sent it back and the second I received was the same. One coworker ordered a gin martini and commented on how weak it was. We ordered two appitizers for the group. The only one I remember was baked artichoke. The lemon juice on it was all that I could taste. There bread was delicious but there wasn't enough butter for every person to have even one pat. I ordered blue cheese dressing for my salad. It tasted like bottled low calorie dressing. My main course was duck with a raspberrie sauce. It was so thick that I had to scape it off the duck, whose taste it totally overpowered. After all the good that I've heard about this place I was shocked. I would not pick it as a place to entertain.

Lucky 32's

We took some out of town guests there. I was underwhelmed. The food was so-so. I had some kind of baked pasta that was very bland. I remember my father-in-law had a cajun-type dish that was so spicy he could barely eat it. I think the others in our party were happy with their food. The service was fine, but actually a little too attentive... like they were trying *too* hard. We had a couple people come up to the table and say that they heard it was our first visit and how was everything. Which is nice, I guess. I just remember my father-in-law said, "They're trying too hard," as one of these people left the table. I laughed and agreed. It wasn't a bad experience for us, just not terrific. We may go there again some time. Maybe for that Sunday brunch that Tom raves about. Katie Our e-mail address has been modified to derail those dreaded spammers.
