In the Triangle Square shopping center at the crossing of highways 54 and 55 is Jamaica Jamaica...not fancy, not by a long shot, just great food...jerk chicken, beans and rice, jamaican curry, great sandwiches...i like the vegetarian dishes for $4.25..beans and rice and the vegetable of the day...great energy food and great taste. Their jerk chicken sandwiches is one of the best sandwiches in the triangle. Dinners at Jamaica Jamaica are even better...they try for table service...have real ceramic plates instead of paper plates and much larger portions...You can get a huge dinner for $8-9. thursday nights they have live jazz. thursday or friday lunches they have live sax player. I have brought about 20 people to Jamaica Jamaica over the past 6 months. All but two have become regulars like me. One even makes weekly trips from chapel hill to enjoy it. so, if you like great food, low prices and dont care too much for slick ambiance, try this place.
