Anyone know of any *excellent* retaurants in or near Lexington, Salisbury, Mooresville, or Huntersville in mid NC?

We ate at Kudzu in Mooresville this past Saturday evening. Food was OK, and service was pretty good; however, prices were *way* too high for what we got. In addition to high prices, we had to pay extra for a side salad of mixed greens in addition to the already too high price of the entree. Also, a piece of their supposedly wonderful Moon Pie was $4.50 - definitely!!! not worth it. We do not plan to visit there again.

We are interested, however, in other good esablishments in the area. We are aware of La Kava and plan to check them out soon. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks much.

It's been about 5 years since I lived in Charlotte, but we found the Holbrook House (if I recall the name correctly) in Huntersville was consistently excellent.
