Fiores

Maybe try it again some time.  We had heard outstanding things about Fiores for a few months before we went there, and when we finally made it we had to agree.  We both did pasta dishes, and found them to be quite inspired and creative.  Service was good, if not overly "proper", ambiance was excellent, and prices were good if you were careful.  What I mean is: this is a place that you can spend $10 per person, or $40 per person.  The evening we were there, one of the fish specials was offered at $28 - whew!!!  And appatizers will kill you as well (standard I guess). For us, it is an outstanding place to catch a nice dish of pasta and not spend much more than going to some dreck place like Bennigans.  And that's pretty decent in my book.

Give it another try.  Or find out if the chef has changed.  Your dish did _not_ sound right at all.
