If you like 'down home country cookin' or what might be called 'southern cookin' I found a good place to eat, and it's very reasonable too. It's at the seminary cafeteria at Southeastern Baptist Seminary. Take US1 north, take hwy 98 exit..to east (exit at the Mcdonalds) Turn right . Go about 1 mile. Go to the first stoplight; turn left. Look on your left. You'll see a daycare center. Right next to it is the cafeteria. Has a little bitty sign out front. one story brick building. glass doors in center front.

It will cost you 3-5$ at the max, to eat lunch or dinner. they also serve a really good, cheap breakfast. breakfast 7-10am Lunch 11-2, dinner 5-8pm It's what I call 'southern type 'food..you know, with 'seasoning'

Types of Vegies: butterbeans, black eye peas, crowder peas, candied yams, cabbage, turnip greens, green beans. All fresh . no canned. Types of main dish varies but has included: fried chicken, baked chicken, meatloaf, lasagna, chicken and dumplings, baked spaghetti, pork barbeque, barbeque chicken, porkchops.. Fresh lemonade, sweet ice tea, non sweet ice tea. none of that instant stuff.

No fancy decor, but very very clean. and very good food. you don't tip; you take your tray through the cafeteria line. when done ,drop your tray and dishes in the cleaning window.

Quiet atmosphere on seminary campus.
