Have found a special Indian restaurant in Brewster, NY called Jaipore. It is easily the equal of Darbar and the other NYC notables. What I really enjoy is that they regularly prepare a special regional menu from various Indian cuisines in addition to the regular menu so that you can learn and taste dishes you normally don't find in other restaurants.
